I haven’t made any beads lately due to a number of reasons. The most important is that we moved and I don’t have my area set up yet. I have been dieing to make beads though. Time is coming soon. We are going to hire someone to make my new desk/table for my bead and jewelry making as well as organize our garage, paint, and put up bike racks, shelves, etc. Once everything is set up I plan on offering either a piece of jewelry or set of beads once a week. I might run a monthly special. We’ll see how it goes.

Matthew is getting big. He’s almost 1. Can you believe it? He’s such a little spoiled guy. I’m thinking about sending him to grandma’s soon to wean him off the breast. I’m not sure.

Work is good, school is busy but less than one year before I’m into the Masters program. Hooray!

Lentil Fun

So, like I said before, I finally got to the torch the other night and made 18 lentils with my new lentil press. I’m ready to get out there and make more however my lil booger won’t let me sleep so there is definitely the possibility I could fall asleep in the torch and that wouldn’t be good. So, without further ado…

In the meantime, I’m still trying to figure out how to make my blog my main website. So, I’m back and forth chatting with my host to see if its possible. If it’s not, I may just switch hosts and delete everything all together and start over, which is not what I’m wanting to do. We’ll see. I’ll keep ya posted.

So, I had a goal of 20 beads today. I made it to 19 then I ran out of clean mandrels. I have some old beads really stuck on a lot of them. I made 18 candilicious transparent lentils and 1 big round honker. Can’t wait to get them out of the kiln in the morning. Hopefully I’ll have pictures of them tomorrow to show. Yummy yummy yummy. I LOVE LOVE LOVE my lentil press. I’m a beadaholic who just turned lentilaholic. LOL!! Caio bella!!

I just put this up today. His feet don’t touch the ground yet but he still loves it. Its right in front of the television so hes up and watching Noggin while he plays with his lil barnyard friends.

As you can see, Matthew has been getting more active and playful. This is his new Fisher Price Rainforest Play Mat. He loves the bright colors and those little yellow ribbons he drools on. Check him out pushing himself up. My Lil Munchkin!

Presses, presses and more presses…

I ordered a bunch of presses from several different venues to help spruce up my bead stash and add some variability rather than the same ol round beads everyone is used to. I’m so excited, I can’t wait to get them in. So far, I received my lentil, pillow and sweetie presses. I got the ones with 3 different sizes for each. I’m still waiting on my straight-sided lentil trio and my itty bitty trio as well as the tons I ordered from Zoozii’s. I ordered a bunch of word presses, so that should be fun as well. I can’t wait to get back out to the torch. I’m doing some cleaning of the torch area so I’d like to get that done first. I probably won’t be doing any updating of the website until I get some beads made to add some pretty little beady pictures. I’ll be changing hosting companies and just going with the wordpress blog to host my site and use etsy as my sales outlet as well as specials on other venues like ebay. I just don’t make enough money to have a host with a shopping cart. It seems I’m just wasting my money and I do really love the simplicity of the blog layout. So, thats enough about that for now.
