Boy, Do I need to keep up with this…
I really should blog more. I find myself cruising the net and other people’s blogs more than writing my own. I spend a lot of time on Lampwork Etc. oogling over other artists’ goodies and reading funny posts. I just got back to the torch after spraining my ankle, having the baby and getting a blood clot in my leg. It seems like forever. I was glad to get back out there. It makes me feel normal again. I’m not out there as much as I’d like to be but that’s only because there isn’t enough time in a day to do everything I want since I have little guy at home now. I did finish up the beads I’m going to send in for the Christmas Exchange on LE. If I had more time I’d make more. I’ll see if I can post some pictures before I send them out this weekend. I also made some hearts for the Heart Exchange but one broke. It was a pretty one too. I plan on remaking it. The heart exchange isn’t ending for awhile so I still have some time for that one. Here is a picture of the little one whose keeping me from the torch. Not that I’m complaining.
Tomorrow is Turkey Day and I can’t wait. Then again, I can wait. HAHA! Since, I’m the one doing most of the cooking and everyone else is doing most of the eating. We will have all the traditional trimmings. Football will surely be on the boob tube. We are going to watch Fred Claus after. It should be a nice day.
I got the ok to go back to work yesterday. That is a good thing as well as a bad thing. Good thing because we are broker than broke and I seriously need to make some money before Christmas. Bad thing because I won’t be home as much with Matthew and have to learn to juggle things again. It got easy with the other boys being older since I didn’t have to worry about child care for awhile. I Guess I got spoiled. I’m also looking for another job. My Florida Medical Leave Absence was up on November 4th and my manager (not the director above her) was anxious to give my job away. For some reason she doesn’t like me. I did come back to work there in the emergency room prn (temporary/flexible position) however there are only 2 days I can fill in for before Christmas. That certainly isn’t going to fly to catch up on bills AND Christmas presents. I did get some promising calls today. I’m looking for an ICU position, full-time, to gain some really good experience for Nurse Anesthesia school. I got a call for a trauma ICU position and a Cardiothoracic ICU position today. The trauma position I’m scheduled for an interview on Monday. I’m seriously keeping my fingers crossed for that one since it’s closer. The cardiothoracic position is all the way in Tampa and human resources said that the manager is really picky and there were other applicants within the hospital. The manager is supposed to call next week to schedule the interview.
